We are seeking part-time facilitators to teach our TALKING MENTAL HEALTH Curriculum in schools around New Mexico. This training is the first step in preparing you to teach teens and youth in middle and high school classrooms.
Objective: To educate about mental illness awareness and suicide prevention. Our Facilitator Training is the first step in preparing you to teach our “Talking Mental Health” curriculum to teens and youth in middle and high school classrooms.
Goals: To provide the language necessary for middle and high school youth to talk about the often taboo topic of mental illness in order to replace stereotypes with facts and stigma with compassion. To provide the understanding and resources for teens to advocate for themselves and others regarding mental illness.
We will prepare you to teach:
- Two 45-minute scripted lessons on mental illness awareness and suicide prevention
- Mental Health Toolbox booster lesson
